Deon Meyer - South African mystery writer. Love everything he writes. I just finished binging on his entire oeuvre, and can't wait for more. I actually also just sent him a gushing fan email, my first ever to an author. It has to do with the setting, too. And with the fact that he just landed Eddard Starck (aka Sean Bean) to play one of his detectives in a movie.
